For the 2019 every student on the course will receive the following.

Three Individual Lessons
Chamber Music Classes and Workshops
Optional Recording Session with Uros Baric
Technical Classes
Guitar Orchestra
Optional Individual Chamber Classes
Participation in the Student Concert

The 2019 CGR boasts a highly experienced and international teaching team.

Allan Neave will give masterclasses and individual lessons will be given by Matthew McAllister, Gabriel Bianco and Stephanie Jones.

Peter Stewart will direct the Guitar Orchestra, Matthew and Stephanie will take Technical Classes.

A unique element of the Classical Guitar Retreat course is the opportunity to participate in Chamber Music Workshops with other instruments.

Aisling Agnew will be delivering Chamber Music Workshops at the 2019 CGR.

The Chamber Music Workshops are a great opportunity to learn new repertoire, enhance ensemble skills and seek invaluable feedback and insight from musicians who play other instruments.

Each year the CGR presents a Lecture Series this year we will have Gabriel Bianco in Conversation and a Luthier Showcase.

“As far as setting is concerned, Cumbrae’s Cathedral can most certainly be counted among the best that festivals worldwide have to offer.”
Guy Traviss, Classical Guitar Magazine

“The retreat was truly a unique experience. The setting on this quaint little island with its lovely cathedral was unlike any other guitar gathering I have attended.”
